NPR: Help, help...my husband....
Help, help. My husband is trying to be "handy"....he's not handy. He think he is handy, but he's not. He's trying to unclog the drain in the bathtub.
So far he's come out for baking soda. bleach & vinegar. This cannot be good.
I want to call my dad. My dad is like MacGuyver for household stuff. Last time, I plunged it & fixed it....but now..."not handy" husband is on the case.
Oh where is Tah-Wee-Zah when I need her!!?!

I'd say drano too. My Dh worries me when he thinks he can do stuff too (he can do some, but not all)...then I try to ignore and keep myself occupied. I usually only communicate with him after all the huffing and puffing is over

You should have seen the I got when he asked what melts soap & I said "boiling hot water?"
I don't want to suggest drano if he's pouring everything in the kitchen down there...this can't be good...
Geez. I just realized he has the kettle on...

I thought your husband was a gazillionaire? Can't you send the limo to pick up someone?
Drano has worked for us.

Try lifting the trap up and seeing if there is hair in there. That will unclog it.
Sadly I know the feeling. If I told you what my husband was going to try and fix this week you would cringe.

Re: NPR: Help, help...my husband....
I asked DH (who is VERY handy! lol) he said if you dont have Drano or a snake to unclog it, use a plunger. Let some water fill the drain then plunge the stuff out. Should help it a little if you have nothing else

This is obviously the maid's fault, you need to beat her when she comes back tomorrow

Sorry, I was putting the kiddos to bed and that's why I let it go to voice-mail. It's not like I have a staff like you
Oh wait, does this shout out qualify me as staff?
Calling you in a bit
Hold off on the Drano...
1/2 cup baking soda down the drain. Immediate pour 1/2 cup vinegar Let it bubble. When bubbling stops pour an entire kettle of boiling water down the drain.

Re: NPR: Help, help...my husband....
I have a long screwdriver that works wonders for drain clogs. Takes about 2 minutes, and uses no chemicals.
