NPR: I hate my new hair cut...

Got my hair cut yesterday b/c it was so long and its so damn hot that im tired of having this heavy hair hanging.

this girl has cut my hair before no problems. yesterday i said i wanted it about shoulder length, with some layers..my usual do. She asked "where do you want the layers to start" i said my chin ..b/c i usually have the angled pieces around the face and the layers worked into the back.

when she combed it all out, god it was long..i must have gotten rid of 6-8 inches. But instead of working her way up, she went straight for the kill and chopped off all of my hair. as soon as i heard the scissors i was like "oh s**& thats probably too short"

my hair ends just past my chin and falls at the bottom of my neck..my layers dont even start there...they end there...

uughh..and my shower is in 3 weeks. i hope it grows 1/2" by then

I now look like a pregnant 14 yr old, rather than a 30 year old..LOL

That stinks! I'm sure it'll look great by the time your shower rolls around.. new cuts always look awkward at the beginning- until it grows out a little and looks more natural.

Aww, that stinks. Ive been contemplating getting my hair cut for weeks! I think I'm going next Sat. but that is what I'm afraid of! Oh well, it will grow back!

First of all . . . I hate the feeling of a bad haircut.

Secondly (and most importantly), keep taking you prenatal vitamins!!! The folic acid helps your hair grow. My friend, who is a fertility nurse, has been taking prenatal vitamins for years to help her hair growth. It makes mine grow like weeds! Good luck!
