I'm sooo sorry you are going through this, but I am in your DH's shoes with my Dad (my parents divorced when I was young.) I have been given nothing but false promises my whole life and I NEVER learn. My kids are 2 and 3 1/2 and he's met my daughter twice and my son once when he was 3 months old. It was last year when my father promised to come to my DD's birthday party and never showed that I finally cut all ties with him. It's very hard and I always have to stop myself from going back for more, but he will get there on his terms. Just be there to support him IF he's let down again (I'm sure you will!) The one thing I must say is my DH never made me feel bad about my choice to go back from round 2000, he always supported me.

Just went out to get mail...waited for him to go shower.
GUESS WHAT!!!!!!!!!
it freaking came! 500 for me, 25 for each kid!
a letter saying she is trying to change her life.
I have never been sooooooooooo happy to be wrong in my life!
for those with their own parent issues...my heart goes out to you.
