NPR...Grad Gift Question

Ok girls...since we are posting about communion and wedding gifts, I need help with this one! My cousin is graduating from medical school in 2 weeks and my entire family is going to DC for a long Fri-Mon weekend! Question, what is an appropriate gift, money wise? Keep in mind, we are paying for a hotel room $160 per night for 3 nights, plus food & travel. I don't want to be cheap, but seriously, I can't afford to give a HUGE sum of $$$. This weekend is already costing us close to $800 probably, between room and food, nevermind that they only have valet and it's $28 per day to park! Thanks for reading this if you got this far, because I'm totally stuck. I also thought about getting her a nice frame personalized with her name and then M.D. on it and something else. Is this cheesy??? LOL

I don't have any suggestions on a gift, but where are you staying? There are lots of public parking garages around that will only charge you about $10-$12/day so you don't have to pay the valet fee. On Sundays parking on the street is free.

Supposedly, the hotel says they have no public parking garage, but there is street parking, with meters, and after 7 it's free! LOL The only day I wouldn't have to worry is Sunday :( It's nuts, I looked online for public parking garages in the area, but nothing close. It's crazy! Valet at the hotel is $28 per day. This is costing us a fortune! LOL
