nsuh maternity tour last night @7pm
so dh and i went on the maternity tour at the hospital last night.....it was about an hour or so long...brought u from admitting to l&d to the nursery to postpartum rooms......showed us the rooms semi private is 530 a night thats basically what most insurances cover, private rooms are 750 a night and the suites 1000 a night! so needless to say dh told me to walk into the suite and take it all in bc thats the last time i would step foot in one
so overall a good experience, i felt informed walkign out of the hosptial so i would recommend it to u girls

Can I ask how far along most people take the hospital tour? I am very glad you found it helpful!

What was the deal with the private rooms and suites? Can you book them in advance? As expensive as it is, I will do my best to have my own room and wish it could be guaranteed. I am likely have a c-section and can't imagine being in such pain/bleeding and having to share a room.
What else did they tell you? I will be going to NSUH as well. What did you think of the facilities and the staff overall? Any other tidbits would be appreciated, such as security measures, visiting hours, deal with booking rooms, etc.
Thanks for the post! I am very glad you found it helpful!
most of the ppl were giving birth the same month as me august and a few were next month july
as far as i understood yes u can book the rooms in advance....probably advance meaning that day u arrive...the talk to u about the whole process from when u arrive at admitting to when u leave....very informative.....personally i HATE hospitals....they actually give me anxiety and i was very comfortable there and the people seemed very educated and kind. visiting hrs are from 11-8pm...security measures .....u where a tag, dh wears one and the baby with a number and the baby also wheres a security alarm that goes off if the baby is taken anywhere near exits.....i hope this info helps but when u go for ur tour ull feel more at ease for sure
