Nursery Question

Does everyone have carpet in their nursery? The room I plan on using has hard wood floors. I was going to keep it that way...
Is that too cold for a babies room?

Re: Nursery Question

In my condo when I first had my baby there were hardwood floors in the nursery. We bought a big area rug with padding underneath and it worked out great.

Re: Nursery Question

I wish I had hardwood floors, I HATE carpet and my house is almost all carpet. Chat Icon I think wood floors are fine and so elegant. Maybe just put down a nice area rug.

Re: Nursery Question

Since our nursery is on the large side, we're keeping the hardwood floors and then placing area rugs in different spots to signify the different areas of the room.
I worry that carpet will hold onto too much dust and cat hair.

Re: Nursery Question

we have hardwood and an area rug - the heat vent is under DS's bed - so he's always toasty at night

Re: Nursery Question

We have hard wood and Its easier for me to keep clean, with 3 cats Im afraid the carpet would get cat hair on it. We have an area rug in there.

Re: Nursery Question

We put laminate flooring in our baby's room and plan on getting an area rug for in front of his crib. My SIL has hardwood floors in her baby's room and the room is not cold at all.

Re: Nursery Question

We are keeping the hardwood floors, and we bought a washable rug at IKEA this weekend to put in the middle of the floor.
