Nursery school - toddler programs $?

I'm just starting to look into options for Ella to go to school in Sept. She'll be 2 in June, so she'd still be in the toddler program.

The one place I called so far sounded great. Her "group" would be 18m-3yrs, 10 kids in a class with 2 teachers & an aide. Its a Montessori school and has a lot of great classes: sign language, spanish, ballet, etc.

The schedule is very flexible - I'm considering 2/3 days a week, 3 hours a day. It was roughly $200-$300/month depending on days/hours (I don't have the exact figures with me). That sounded reasonable but I have nothing to compare it to.

Whats the "norm"? Please share what you pay for nursery school, how many hours, what age, etc.

200-300 per month is a good price. I would say that is the norm.

I would say thats pretty good. DD is starting nursery school in Sept. in the 2 yr old program, and I am paying 450 a month for 2 hours a day, 2 days a week.

We're still debating sending Lauren to the same nursery school as Andrew goes to. It has a 2, 3 and 4 year old program and we love it there....

You can choose 2 days a week, 3 days a week, 4 days a week or even 5 days a week (each day is a 3-hour day). So cost depends, but it ranges from about $200/month to $350/month.

My ds is starting in September (3yr program) for 3 days, 3 hours a day for $210 a month. I would think anything between 200 - 300 is about right.

Ours is 1200 for the school yr.

Its $231 for 2 days/3 hours and $325 for 3 days/3 hours. So it sounds in line with the norm.

I have my daughter in a montessori program and we both love it!!!

Next year she is going to the primary room - 5 days 3 hours a day for about $5000

That sounds like the norm - especially since not all places offer programs for 2 yr olds as well. Emily's school is for 3+.

Right now he's in the 2 1/2 y/o program - two days per week, 1 1/2 hrs per day - $140/month for ten months.

In Sept. he starts the 3 y/o program, two days per week, 2 1/2 hrs per day, $140/month for ten months.

That seemed to be about the norm. I found one place that was $350-400 but it was more "upscale" I guess- they stressed fine arts....I swear like picasso and other famous artists, and famous writers-like the kids have a clue but it was a cute program!
