nursery school 3 year old group question...

if you had to choose between keeping your child home his third year or sending him to school what would you do... i am quite torn ~ It really is very expensive where i live... Do you htink it is a HUGE deal if i just wait for him to go to Pre-k?

I felt similar to you this past September....While I was pg. with DD, I was put on modified bed-rest and had guilt issues that DS was basically trapped with me in the house...

My only option to get him out and with other children was pre-k...He is the only 3yo in the 4 yo class....The first couple of weeks were tough because he was used to mommy and him together all day...It was(is) 2 days a week - 3 hours a day....

And now he LOVES it !!!

With that being said, it definately is not a huge deal to wait another year...There are so many ways to get him out socializing ( which in the 3 year old program, thats a lot of what they do)...Fortunately you are not in the position I was in, and had I not been on bed-rest, I didn't intend on sending him either until he was 4, even though now that I did I'm happy ....

Either way he will be just fine, lots of people wait
