Nursery themes?
No clue what we are having yet (although my doctor kept referring to the little peanut as "he" at my appt. yesterday), but starting to think of nursery themes.
I definitely want to do butterflies if it's a girl (I love butterflies in general). If it's a boy, we are thinking about dinosaurs. My husband said he'd paint a mural on the nursery wall as well.
What are some themes you ladies have done or are thinking about?

For my DD #1, we did butterflies - I have to admit - her room came out great. It's all pink with butterfly accents. Instead of a border, I bought those fabric butterflies and made my own border all around her room. I bought butterfly themed shelves too.
For DD #2 (due 7/27) I am doing fairies...I bought fairy wallies and am painting the room sage and lavender.
I also want to get that vinyl lettering they sell now and go with the quote from Peter Pan that says "All you need is faith, trust and a little pixie dust".

we did teddy bears so that the majority of the room would be neutral/unisex.....and then i put a couple of feminie touches when we found out we were having a girl

we were going to do frogs, but since we painted the room (long story  ) we decided to do turtles!
ETA: the colors are actually a LOT brighter in person, not as pastel.

My dd we did butterflies and if this ones a girl too we will keep it the same since my dd is 18 months and the new baby will just be taking her room..

We are having a boy and are most likely going with a jungle theme. I also like a beach themed room too. We want to look into having a muralist paint the room

we are actually doing a girl nautical theme- I couldnt find anywhere a girl nautical theme so my mother and I are making everything from scratch! bedding, curtains, etc.
