Nursing question...

I don't think I'll be able to nurse Connor until he's a year like I did with Caiden. Well, at least not all the time. I had to suppliment with him by 8 months old because I wasn't making enough milk. That's what my question is. I did it with Caiden towards the end, but, is it possible for me to continue nursing Connor in the morning and after work at home at night but not pump or nurse during the day without hurting my milk supply during the times I can still nurse? I was just wondering because pumping at work and nursing during lunch has become a BIG issue here at work and I don't think I'll be able to much longer. It's a time concern. I really don't want to stop nursing because it's going so well. So I thought that maybe I'd be able to nurse him basically when I'm at home, just not during the day, not even pumping. Do you think that would work? I did it when I was weaning Caiden towards the end, but since it was the end it didn't matter what my supply was anyway. I was thinking of doing this hopefully around 6 months maybe sooner if necessary. What do you think??? Thanks!

Re: Nursing question...

Is your work not allowing you to pump? I thought they could not stop you.

Melissa you should speak to your union rep or HR and find out what the laws are in NC for nursing. Or maybe on the LLL website there would be someone who can help you with the legalities. In many states it is illegeal to prevent you from being able to do so.
