Nursing to sleep....

....I'm not judging those who do or don't....just looking for feedback.....I don't do it a lot (as per DH request so he can also put DS to bed)....but I do it sometimes and he falls asleep so fast, then I usually take him off drowsy, rock him a minute and put him down (sometimes totally asleep, sometimes really drowsy and just falls asleep in the crib). Is this considered a "bad habit"---it just seems so natural, he calms so fast......does anyone else do this?

No I don't think it's starting a bad habit. I don't do it always but if it makes you feel any better, I just finished nursing dd to sleep. She's almost 7 months and usually she cries for 5 minutes and is out. Well tonight she cried for almost 20 and was sobbing. I felt terrible. Nursing comforts her. IMO, I don't worry about starting a bad habit if I don't think it needs to be broken. I like nursing her to sleep.
