NYC hotel for girls night?
Can anyone recommend a hotel in NYC fairly close to good restaurants/bars etc. I guess not too far from Penn. Just looking to go to the city with 2 friends for the day then have a nice dinner and spend the night. Recommendations?

I love the Kimberly hotel. It's renovated recently and the one bedrooms have a balcony with a kitchenette. Also if your name is Kimberly you get a free frette robe!

We stayed here for a girls night and it was great. Clean and a great price.

I don't think so but not 100p positive.
I love their roof top. It's a fun party and then you can stumble back to your room.

Re: NYC hotel for girls night? Edited to add some ideas for feedback
OK so sadly the Kimberly is just to much $$ for what we are looking for, although it looks awesome! A few others that I am looking into are The Roosevelt, Manhattan Club, Affinia Manhattan & The Strand. Any feedback on any of these?

We stayed at the Strand and while it was nice I found it very small...small lobby...small rooms etc - we were a family of 4.

The Strand is less than the Kimberly? We've always paid $300 a night at the Kimberly for a Saturday night.
Darn I always thought of it as my secret hotel and I am sad if it's getting too expensive!

Yes, I was so bummed! I got quoted 300 plus for the Strand and 400 plus for the Kimberly. I think we may just go to the Kimberly for drinks anyway. Looks great.

Have you tried Ink 48? Its a Kimpton hotel with roofdeck in Hells Kitchen.
Not sure what their prices are....but it's worth a shot.
ETA: If you haven't tried Kimpton yet, you should. They've got a great vibe and there are a bunch in the city!

I had my birthday drinks there a few years ago and we were not hotel guests--I'm not sure if it changed since then though.

We stayed at the Nomad Hotel for my friends bachelorette party...LOVED it!! The rooms were big/clean/nice.
Try jetsetter.com for deals and discounts. they are part of gilt.com We got a great rate on the Nomad for a Saturday night using them.
