NYC Maternity Leave
I was wondering if anyone knew the name or email address of the person incharge of the UFT's maternity workshops or just someone who could give me information about maternity leave and bed rest?

I was on bedrest for 12 weeks before I had the girls. You first have to dip into your 20 days. So, if you are in the positive, you get those and then the 20. Then you can go on medical disability (dr. has to sign a lot of paperwork) and you get 30 days of (don't quote me) payed weekends and holidays ONLY for the one month.
Then of couse c-section I believe was 8 weeks and vaginal delivery was 6 weeks. If you dipped into your days already and the 20 CAR you can borrow it is unpaid.
