NYC Restaurant Recommendations....
DH & I are going to see a Broadway Play next Friday. Where is a good place to eat beforehand? The play is at 8pm and we want to eat around 5:45/6pm.
It is a Friday, so will we get reservations by next week...thanks!
Any style of food is fine - we are looking for reasonably priced and good food!

Carmine's.
Or if you like Irish (not pub irish but more fish and really yummy food) Tir Na Nog. But you will need a reservation. It is right by Penn Station.

I don't how far you are willing to travel around the city but try Puglia's. I listed the address below. It is in Little Italy. Great Italian food!!! Not sure about reservations but def leave a little more time than your used they don't rush you at all.

I love Baldoria, the owner/ chef is cousins w/ the owner of Rao's.
Baldoria 249 W 49th St, New York 10019 Btwn 8th Ave & Bway 212-582-0460
They also have a $35 prix-fixe menu for dinner.
If you want to try Cuban food, Havana Central is a good pick
Havana Central Times Square 151 W 46th St, New York 10036 Btwn 6th & 7th Ave
Phone: 212-398-7440
Their fried yucca -
Bond 45 Italian/Steakhouse
154 W 45th St, New York 10036 Btwn 6th & 7th Ave Phone: 212-869-4545
It's a little $ than the other 2 - but SO worth it. The best fresh mozz I've ever had in my entire life.
Kellari Taverna ($$$$$) Greek, Seafood
19 W 44th St, New York 10036 Btwn 5th & 6th Ave
212-221-0144
Again, a little more $ than the first two, but if you like Greek food, this place is amazing

Mustang Sallys / Mustange Harry's are both good. Both are within walking distance of Penn, and you can catch a cab or subway up to your theater

GREAT suggestion!!!!!!! Haven't been there in years but I second it. my chorus teacher in high school used to take us there before we'd go to a show. he measured the 'goodness' of a chinese restaurant by the number of ducks hanging in the window.
