NYC teachers: health ins family plan?
I'm looking into covering my family when I go back to work in September, but I had a few questions.
Is it really free? What's the catch? Is anything going to change for the 2013-14 school year? Can I just add everyone at the start of the school year or do I need to wait until January? I have 2 children and a husband, is there anything I should add to the plan?

You can add them right away.
Honestly I dont know what I pay lol I think it is something but since it is SO much less then DHs it is a no brainer, I would like the answer to what we pay also!

You pay.nothing unless you add the optional rider, which is only $15 a month for.GHI.

Yep. And get the rider. If you or anyone else is hospitalized it makes a big difference as to what is covered or not. And really, paying $15 a month for healthcare is NOTHING.
