NYC Teachers: Retro-active pay from my MASTERS?
I finally got my step in today's paycheck. However, I am not sure if the amount I should of been paid from September 1st is included or if it is just the amount I will continue to get paid.
How do I know? Where can I look on my check?

you can figure it out by dividing your new salary by 24. If it matches the gross amount (before takes are taken out) then it is what you will get every pay check.
You can also look on the payroll selfserve of the DOE website. It will tell you if retro was added.
But your retro is probably on this check, so your actual paycheck with probably be less than this one.

i believe they usually put the whole retro on one check, that way they can tax the crap out of it, and your next check will less but that is what the rest of your checks will be
