NYE plans...

So here's the scoop-

Last year we had friends and their Dh's or SO's and their children here...

It was great because I still got to be with DS (who slept the entire time-since he was still so young) and be with our friends...

This year- one of our closet friends is doing this at her house, it will be us and her IL's and their kids... (all our children are around the same age- 3 and under) We are very close with her IL's as well (since DH has been friends with him for quite sometime) and am anticipating a great time...

Here's the pickle-
they live about a half an hour away...They offered us to stay the night- but they dont have a spare room- so we'll basically be sleeping in their living room, and Im just not comfotable sleeping out... but at the same time I dont wanna be on the roads...Chat Icon

I offered them to sleep by us last year- and they decided to go home- and just left right after midnight...

Im thinking of doing the same (figuring all the "drunks" will still be partying) I dont mind leaving them... with all the kids- after 12 the party will be over for us anyway....

So what should I do?
Stay home? Suck it up and sleep there? Just leave @ midnight?

TIA

For one night I would suck it up and sleep there! You will be able to enjoy yourself longer and not have to worry about leaving and driving on the roads so late.....

I would stay, I wouldn't want to be on the roads.
I've "camped out" at my aunts in the living room with Aidan at about Ryans age... he loved it!Chat Icon

Re: NYE plans...

personally i would leave after midnight,,,i guess im a private person, i wouldnt feel comfortable no matter how close i am to someone, to sleep in the living room in the middle of everything, esp w/a baby....im sure they wouldnt have a problem with it, its just me, i like being in my own bed!

If you decide to go home, just be extra cautious driving!

Re: NYE plans...

I would go there with the intentions on staying. Only if Ryan is not sleeping properly would I leave.
