I don't see a female doc, but I have to tell you that I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Peter Judge - he's at Southbay OB/GYN in West Islip. He is the nicest, funniest, most compassionate doctor I've ever seen. He also VERY intelligent & he listens to all of my questions & directly answers them without hesitation.

I, unfortunately, met him during a difficult time when my "regular" doc wasn't available and he handled everything so well & made such an impression with me (& my hubby!) that I've since switched over to him. HTH! GL with your search! Chat Icon

I go to Dr. Jurak at South Bay also (in West Islip)

I saw Dr. Schneider at North Shore Medical Group in Huntington. I only left bc of insurance.

Dr. Joyce Rubin, Contemporary Womens Care in Smithtown.

She is awesome!!! She is like a girlfriend rather than a dr. I am plus sized and she has never made me feel out of place or made me feel bad about it.

The other doctors in the practice are just as great. Dr. Payone and Dr. Mckenna and Dr. Gloria Escamilla are the other three that I've met and love.

Dr. Rubin may not be in because she is pregnant with her first baby. I think she may have left on maternity leave. Although she did tell me she should be back in October.

I agree, I love this practice too. Dr. Rubin had her baby this past Sunday (father's day) so she won't be back for awhile (I thought I heard August?) but the other dr's there are great too.

Do you know what she had?

ETA: She could be coming back sooner than October. I have that month in my head because I remember the last time I seen her she said that I need to make an appt for Oct and not to worry she should be back by then lol.Chat Icon
