please recommend your ob/gyn in suffolk
I am going to go see a new dr. I have "women's intuition" that something is not right, and what some of you say makes me feel that I should trust my judgement (see my other post today).
I would like a Dr. that would deliver at st. catherines/stony brook/ st. charles

I go to contemporary womens care in Smithtown. It's right in the St. Catherines Hospital parking lot area. I see Dr Joyce Rubin.

They have always been great here and they have a few offices, which is convienant... Dr Sterlacci is awesome, and so are a lot of the nurse practictioners... Karen in particular...

me too! I can not say enough about the kindness and compassion of these Dr's. I switched to them after my 1st m/c when I was treated like dirt by Suffolk. Highly recommend both Halpert and Somers-Halpert is a bit more jokey while Somers is more profressional but both GREAT Dr's!

Totally recommend! i had to switch drs at the way beginning of my pregnancy (5 weeks). someoe on here recommended this practice. to say they are ALL wonderful is an understatement. I gave birth in November and all 4 drs came to see me and congratulate. When I walk in the drs office the drs and nurse know my name. Mckenna delivered my daughter bc he was on call. I mostly went to dr paone and rubin. But escamilla and mckenna are soooo nice. definitely check them out.

Interesting . . . there are obviously two different practices with the name Suffolk OB/GYN. That is who I use but there are no NPs and no Dr. Sterlacci, and they only have one office as of two months ago b/c the landlord at their other office sold the building and evicted everyone.

I couldn't agree more! They are all fabulous and they are the most friendly and caring doctors. They are so good that when I lived in queens for 2 yrs - I'd still drive to Smithtown to my appts!
