OB question... Dr. Schwartz
Hi everyone, I am almost 6 weeks pg with my third. Last pregnancy 2.5 years ago I used a large practice and was fairly happy, but lately the place has started to seem like a baby mill. Even though I like my dr, I feel like just a number there... not personal at all, kwim?
When I first started at this big practice, there was a young female doc there that I liked, Dr. Sarah Schwartz, and she has since gone on her own. Does anyone know her or have any firsthand opinions about her? I'm REALLY thinking of switching, but I sort of feel like "the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know." That's what my nana always says
Thanks for any input!!!!

Re: OB question... Dr. Schwartz
lol i think youre at MY practice, that im looking to switch out of...i started with her..sara schwartz is wonderful, her brother benjamin was my oncologist when i was sick last year... BUT...i didnt like her staff, so i switched to the group she left actually 9which is where you may be now too lol)...try it though, go for a consult..my issue was, ive had alot of health problems, and really need close monitoring..and when i went to see her..her staff thought it would be fine to make me wait a whole extra month before doing my bloodwork...which it really wasnt, and then somehow they were pretty pizzed when i asked the dr about it cause i guess i made them look bad..i dunno..they couldve just been having a bad day.. i liked her ALOT..i just know if im gonna be sittin in an office every month, i better like the staff lol if you have any questions FM me!!

If you value your time don't do it. I had an appointment cancelled 4 separate times!

Re: OB question... Dr. Schwartz
I started out going to her in my first pregnancy. She was really nice and I really liked her. But I switched halfway through my pregnancy, because she is the only one who delivers (her father doesn't deliver anymore). And being that she has to run over to the hospital when someone is delivering, her appts get cancelled alot. It's a personal decision, but I was nervous that because she was only one person, that she wouldn't be able to deliver my baby.

Re: OB question... Dr. Schwartz
I am crashing- but she is my doctor.
I really like her- she is very nice and when I had a m/c last year- I was always there, even just to talk.
Anyway- when I get pregnant again, I will most likely not go back to her. Even though I like her, and I am sure she delivers babies just fine- I don't find her well trained in situations that aren't typical in a normal pregnancy. I don't know- it's hard to explain.

I still believe this and have since switched to another doctor. I didn't feel she was competant whatsoever.

Re: OB question... Dr. Schwartz
Don't do it, I switched after they cancelled my appt 4 times. I also felt they ordered unnecessary diagnostic tests. Such as a transvaginal US when I have the cleanest med hx I know and this was before I was even pregnant. Just my opinion though.
