Me and my dh were talking the other night and we agreed that for the first time in our lives we actually feel so inspired by a canidate and kind of understand what people must have felt like toward JFK....anyone agree?

Yes. That's how I feel.

Almost how I felt when I first heard Clinton speak.

Yes I do, he gives me hope. NOt necessrily that he will make everything better, but that he brings a sense of inclusion, compassion and intellegence.

I'll always have a special place in my <3 for Bill because he was the first person I voted for in a Presidential election...

ITA. When I hear him talk he sounds sincere and gives hope that everything will be better. Not right away but down the road.

Re: Obama supporter I have a question

Yes, he def. has that way about him. He has the ability to make people truely believe what he is saying, similar to JFK. I think he's brillant!

I agree, I dont think anyone can change anything overnight, but I feel he will do everything to turn this country in a positive direction from where we are

Re: Obama supporter I have a question

I think he is an excellent speaker. He's articulate and knows how to move a crowd. Definitely some tears for me when I have heard him.

I love Bill as well.

So funny--DH and I were just having this conversation in the car the other day (we were driving behind someone with a McCain-Palin sticker Chat Icon) and we were saying the same thing--I feel this sense of desperation when I think about him NOT winning the election because he's what we need right now. That's when DH brought up the JFK connection, and brought up a very valid point: Part of the reason JFK was so controversial was because he was DIFFERENT--yes he was a white man, but he was Catholic which was unheard of. But the man did AMAZING things for our country.

Agreed - I'm a supporter by default b/c I loathe Palin - I think Kennedy was a bit more believable .......I'm not sure what it is about Obama - I think he's extremely well spoken and intelligent and would have no problem with him as a representative of our country -

But I just find him obnoxious ........

Yes and I remember being surprised when Caroline Kennedy endorsed Obama and then she said something to the effect that he reminded her of her father and it hit...she's right.
