Obama supporter I have a question
Me and my dh were talking the other night and we agreed that for the first time in our lives we actually feel so inspired by a canidate and kind of understand what people must have felt like toward JFK....anyone agree?

Yes. That's how I feel.
Almost how I felt when I first heard Clinton speak.

Yes I do, he gives me hope. NOt necessrily that he will make everything better, but that he brings a sense of inclusion, compassion and intellegence.

I'll always have a special place in my <3 for Bill because he was the first person I voted for in a Presidential election...

ITA. When I hear him talk he sounds sincere and gives hope that everything will be better. Not right away but down the road.

Yes, he def. has that way about him. He has the ability to make people truely believe what he is saying, similar to JFK. I think he's brillant!

I agree, I dont think anyone can change anything overnight, but I feel he will do everything to turn this country in a positive direction from where we are

Re: Obama supporter I have a question
I think he is an excellent speaker. He's articulate and knows how to move a crowd. Definitely some tears for me when I have heard him.
I love Bill as well.

So funny--DH and I were just having this conversation in the car the other day (we were driving behind someone with a McCain-Palin sticker ) and we were saying the same thing--I feel this sense of desperation when I think about him NOT winning the election because he's what we need right now. That's when DH brought up the JFK connection, and brought up a very valid point: Part of the reason JFK was so controversial was because he was DIFFERENT--yes he was a white man, but he was Catholic which was unheard of. But the man did AMAZING things for our country.
I every day that if he's elected, he is kept safe.

Agreed - I'm a supporter by default b/c I loathe Palin - I think Kennedy was a bit more believable .......I'm not sure what it is about Obama - I think he's extremely well spoken and intelligent and would have no problem with him as a representative of our country -
But I just find him obnoxious ........

Re: Obama supporter I have a question
Yes and I remember being surprised when Caroline Kennedy endorsed Obama and then she said something to the effect that he reminded her of her father and it hit...she's right.
