Re: OBGYN in bethpage?
Bethpage OBGYN is great. They're located right next to New Island Hospital.
There are several doctors and a nurse practitioner there. Look up in your insurance plan under Robert Weiss - he is the main doctor - If he is listed anyone in the practice should be as well.

I use to go to them but changed over because the doctor's & nurse practiconers are always changing...Just when you get use to someone, they leave...
I went to Nassau/Suffolk OBGYN in which one of the nurse practioners from Bethpage moved to...They are on Sunrise Hwy in Massapequa...

I used to go to Bethpage OBGYN too but when the female doctors left I followed one of them to their new practice in Garden City.

That's where I go now (for about 15y) and want to change. I feel they wronged me and wasted my time with IF treatments before I went to an RE (I was so gullable). Since I've been there so long, I have noticed that doctors don't stay long and actually I was told that Dr. Weiss left the practice. I haven't been there since Jan, so I don't know if it's true. Plus the waiting is ridiculous there. I have waited two hours for a 10 min. appointment. I just feel like I need to go elsewhere.

Re: OBGYN in bethpage?
When I lived in Bethpage I went to a GYN in Garden City. He was great. I only left b/c he only delivers out of Winthrop and Mercy(?) and that would lead to insurance issues for me. Fm if you want his number. My mom and a bunch of cousins still go to him. One cousin has had some issues that he was really great with.
I also went to Susan Scavo on Stewart Ave but I really wasn't happy with some of her tx methods. But, others have been very happy with her.

Nass/Suff Obgyn is now in their West Islip and Bethpage (near New Island Hosp) locations only. I go to Dr. Antoniadis and was just there 2 weeks ago.He is AMAZING, i HIGHLY reccommend him.

Re: OBGYN in bethpage?
In Bethpage, Dr. Peyman Zandieh- he is GREAT! I have been going to him since 98 when he was in garden city with Dr. Braverman on stewart ave. DR. Zandieh went on his own. He is in the professional building across the street from the new island hospital. he also has a nurse practitioner Amy who is great if you prefer a female.

DOs are MDs..they do an extra rotation to become DOs. I see a DO and I love him..give it a try.
also, I live in Bethpage and I see Dr. Hanauer in Garden City. She is worth the trip.

Actually, that is not true about the rotations. DO's go to osteopathic medical schools. It's not worst/better than being an MD, it's different. MD's go to allopathic schools.
DO's specialize in wholistic medicine and have an additional technique called Osteopathic Medical Manipulation.
I work with New York College of Osteopathic Medicine for work so that's why I know this.

I see..thanks for the info. I talked to my doc about this and he gave me general info about his degree. He went to NY College of Osteopathic Medicine along with his wife.
He does not specialize in holistic medcine at all. He is cut right from the regular MD path but maybe he's so great because he was trained a bit different. He is definitely the best doc for me.
