Ocean City, MD suggestions
We are looking to go on a last minute vacation there. Can someone suggest what part to stay at? We want to be as close to the ocean as possible. Also, can anyone suggest a hotel or a website where we can find a last minute condo??
Also - any restaurant recommensations are always welcome Thanks so much !

I can't help you with where to stay, but my sister used to live there so we'd visit her occasionally. She worked at Jule's which is a fine dining restaurant and the food was great. It's in a shopping center so it doesn't look like much from the outside but it's nice inside.
My absolute favorite place there is Liquid Assets. It's basically a liquor store with a huge bar and small tables in the middle. There's also a small dining area and cheese bar attached. I could eat there every night and just get a cheese platter, half bottle of champagne, and some appetizers and I'd be in heaven!

Re: Ocean City, MD suggestions
My parents have a vacation house there, so I'm not too much help on where to stay -- but I did book a trip there 5-6 years ago after my college graduation and I used Expedia. I found that they tell you how far away from the beach the place is. We stayed at a hotel within walking distance (maybe a block from the beach) for a really inexpensive rate! Most of the places are right on the big strip of boardwalk, but there are cheaper hotels that are right behind those hotels, so they're still on the boardwalk, but you don't get the view.
As far as eating, there is the best hibachi place I've ever eaten at -- Sakura Japanese Steakhouse in the White Marlin Mall complex. I'm sure you're going to want to do a buffet at least once if you like seafood as you really don't get fresher crab Personally, I go to Embers (on the strip) at least once every time I go down there because it's the best buffet. Jonah and the Whale is also pretty good because it's relatively inexpensive, but it's much smaller and gets really crowded. There are a TON things to do and places to eat -- I suggest getting a coupon book. It really saves you money!
Have fun!!! I've been pestering DH to go down there and can't wait until we have a free weekend or a few days to run down!

Try Coldwell Banker for vacation rentals...we rent privately, but have used them in the past. We prefer to be on the Boardwalk, but if you want a quieter vacation, there are plenty of condos in North Ocean City. We've stayed at the Commander and really liked it.
For restaurants, we like the Shark and Captain's Galley in West Ocean City. I also like Mug and Mallet on the boardwalk because it's a great atmosphere. I skip the buffets. We usually do crabs at Bahamas Mamas...we order large or jumbos by the dozen and skip the all you can eat. There is a pizza place at 15th street on the boardwalk that has an outrageous salad pie. Liquid Assets is supposed to be great as well, but we haven't made it there yet.
