Ocean City or similar Hotel rec?
Thinking about maybe going to Ocean City or somewhere similar within driving distance this summer. I've never been so I'm clueless as to what it's like. We're very picky about hotels so it would have to be on the upscale side and have activities or at least be near activities for the kids. We like the beach but we're not stay there all day and do nothing else type people, a beach house would never be of interest.

Go to Diamond Beach NJ and stay at Icona Diamond Beach.
Feels more like being in Florida than Jersey.
Pool service, private beach with service. Beach bar.
Short drive to all the activities in Wildwood
Short drive to Cape May.
Icona also has a brand new super upscale hotel in Cape May but it's smaller with no restaurant, public beach, and tiny albeit beautiful pool.
If you want more service and activities the Diamond Beach location is better for you
All hotels in their chain are upscale

Thank you, this sounds perfect! I was looking at Ocean City on Trip Advisor and it wasn't looking how I imagined.

A lot of these shore towns have hotels that leave a lot to be desired. A lot.
That is why these 2 are the only places I will stay in those areas.
They did a phenomenal job on both.
