OCTOBER- Pregnancy and Infant Loss Month

I read this on FB, and just posted it.

"Sadly,
this week we remember all babies born sleeping or whom we have carried
but never met, or those we have held but could not take home or the ones
that came home but didn't stay. Make this your profile status if you or
someone you know has suffered the loss of a baby. The majority won't do
......it, baby loss is still a taboo subject. Break the silence..."


I wanted to share. Oct 15th is the official Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.

It still is so taboo to talk about. I realized after reading it, even myself after two losses was hesitant to post it on FB. Why I dont know. I guess It's still not talked about, so I wondered how all the Facebook friend's of mine would take the post. Or I guess I was worried those who didnt know about my past losses ( would be worried or think something was wrong with my current pregnancy.) I know it was stupid of me to even hesitate. SO I POSTED IT!!

I realize it is so important to share and not make the subject taboo!!!! Please she as well on your FB Pages.

This month is in memory of so many babies out there whose parents had so many hopes and dreams for but never got to meet ..... or had to say goodbye too soon.

It's so great of you to help to make people aware. So many people are affected by losses, and are often left to keep it all to themselves because society somehow doesn't want to talk about it, or can't handle it. Losing a child is devastating - and people shouldn't have to feel like they are so alone.

Thanks for posting, I posted it on my wall. Losing my son was one of the hardest things I ever had to endure.

i too was very hesitant to post- and i actually posted it for 2 minutes and then took it down... for whatever reason

i guess not a lot of people know about my loss and it just felt weird... i will repost though in remembrance of all the babies who are now our guardian angels
