office people - a candy man??
does anyone else's office have a man come in once a week to try and sell candy? i'm sorry but this is the worst kind of temptation! he comes in with a huge cart of any and every type of candy you can imagine, in plastic bags for dirt cheap, EVERY tuesday!! and they are like costco sized portions too. i can't take it anymore - he just recently added a wide variety of gourmet NUTS to his selection!!!
HELP!

No, worse. We have a newsstand in the lobby of my building. I walk by it at least 2x a day...

If he is driving a big light blue van stay away from him. He is using the candy and his nuts to lure you in.

Re: office people - a candy man??
We had one at my old company. Luckily, I was in the back of the office so the thought of walking ALL the way to the front forced me to stay put.

Re: office people - a candy man??
No, we just have vending machines and a coffee truck. During the summer an ice cream truck comes too, it's hard to not be tempted by that happy little music!!

OMG the pic of the van is hysterical

Re: office people - a candy man??
No..... we just have those people that come in with '90% off tix for a cruise around LI' or '90% off your next haircut at the salon around the corner' but you have to pay that minute and get a voucher you can redeem.
Scammers!

Re: office people - a candy man??
used to a few years back. Don't need candy man delivering to me. It's bad enough I know where the candy lives..I visit, I have directions, no need for the candy to come to my door.

Re: office people - a candy man??
I have never heard of something like this!
It would never happen at my job, you need 17 different pieces of ID just to walk through the lobby (and thats if you are employed there)!!!

Had this at one of my old jobs....after gaining 10 lbs....I instructed him to only allow me to buy the red licorice bites and NOT the chocolate covered cashews

Re: office people - a candy man??
We have an ice cream man in the summers on Fridays (company sponsered).
He has a little bell and goes through the building with his ice cream cones.
I love him and hate him at the same time.
