Do you usually feel the second one faster. I'm 19 weeks and haven't felt any definitive movement

I started feeling my baby at 17 weeks. Like a previous poster, I wasn't a 100% sure but after a couple of days I realized.

I'm about 19 weeks as well & haven't felt real movement.... I had what felt like muscle spasms in the area under my belly button last night & this morning & maybe it was the baby but not sure... but I heard a lot of people don't feel real movement until 20+ weeks.

I started to feel baby A a few weeks ago and now can feel him when I lay down at night. Baby B has an anterior placenta so I may not feel him for a while.

For those of you that aren't feeling your LO's no worries at all! I didn't feel DS #1 until 21 weeks.

Any of my fellow July Mommies having heart palpitations??? I read that it is normal but my OB wants me to go see a cardiologist anyway. I have them almost every day and they usually happen in the evening when I'm laying in bed but I have them this morning as I'm sitting down. Chat Icon

Haven't had those in any of my 3 pregnancies.. You should check it out just to be safe.

I can't remember because DD is 6 1/2. But everyone says you feel the 2nd one sooner because you know what it feels like. Don't worry, it will happen soon Chat Icon

Late to the party!!!!

My name is Dana and I am due with DC #2 on July 26th!! My son Matthew and the new baby will be a month short of 3 years apart! We live in Suffolk, and I am a "sort of" SAHM. LOL

I have been very lucky, I have awesome pregnancies! No symptoms but exhaustion at night, and a severe need for Mexican food! The only craving I ever had with DS and this baby!!! I swear the kid is going to come dancing out with a Sombrero on if I hit up Chipotle anymore!!! I should seriously invest in their stock! LOL

Anyway, I will be 20w Friday! I felt DS at 16w a few times, then nothing again until 19 weeks. With this baby, nothing yet! Looking forward to a sonogram this Thursday, so much time between sonos at this point.... the reassurance that everything is okay will be nice!!! Happy to hear other comments about no movement yet!!! Makes me feel better!

Hey ladies they took my lif access away at work so I have been slacking =( Any gender updates. We found out earlier this month (after a horrible experience with a cranky sono tech) that we are expecting a Chat Icon I keep joking with dh that it better be a girl because the tech was so against our gender reveal that I could see her lying lol! But have been going crazy with decorating, just order my decals to put up in the nursery. And we finished our registries for now =/ LO is very active at night and first thing in the morning. Last night dh was finally able to feel a nice strong kick

Whats up with everyone!?

Checking in and can't belive how quickly time seems to be going now. This little guy is quite a kicker and gets the hiccups a lot too.

I had off this week from work and went on a baby rampage pulling out all of the stuff from the attic and basement that we plan to reuse. I cleaned, washed, and put together the bassinet and cleaned up or washed the bouncer, swing, and bath. I ordered and received the new bedding, picked up some new baby clothes, and went through all of the clothes I had saved from DS to see what this one can use. I know it's still 4 months off but I feel like I'm nesting already.

Anyone else as crazy as me Chat Icon

DH and my father started painting the nursery. DH just has to finish the bottom molding and some touch ups. The carpet has been ordered and should be in next week. We will have it installed when the room is finished up. We also got a call from Behr's that the cribs are in. I've purchased all the items that I need for the boys except another crib mattress.

A huge milestone was reached this month when we moved DS #1 into a big boy bed (we converted his crib). We knew we couldn't use his crib for the babies, it has a high back but we will use his mattress.

I'm starting to feel really uncomfortable and cannot believe that I (hopefully) have 15 more weeks of carrying these two boys. I have the GD testing, a growth sono and some sort of vaginal scraping test (tests for signs of preterm labor) in two weeks.

Oh and another big milestone the past two weeks was that I began to feel baby B. He seems to enjoy spending the afternoons under my right ribcage. Chat Icon

Hope everyone is feeling good.

Christina, can you update my due date for me. They won't let me go past the week of July 14th.

Re: *****Official July 2013 Mommies*****

I found out on Friday that we are expecting another girl! We are totally thrilled! We had a big gender reveal party for all of our friends and family and found out together! It was such as awesome moment! I've already started to hear comments about how we must be "disappointed" not to be having a boy....when actually, we really didn't care either way! We wanted to add to our family...we weren't trying for either sex! And after having an ectopic last year, all we care about is being able to have a healthy baby! If anyone is contemplating a gender reveal, I would say do it! It's our first time finding out the sex, and my husband pushed for it, and it was amazing!

How are we all doing??? I am 27 weeks today and feeling exhausted. Last week I was not feeling that great and went to the doctor only to find out I was dehydrated and had a UTI. All else is well and it seems like Chat Icon will be here before I know it. I hope all of you July Mommas are doing great!

Nursery is being taken over by gifts from people who can't make the shower! I soooo want to set it all up but dh won't let me yet lol. Glucose test this weekend...yippe! Not lol!

Glucose test for me too on Thursday...Chat Icon My nursery is going to be DS's current bedroom so all of this LO's stuff is piled in our guest room...I too am itching to start setting things up but that's most likely not going to happen until June and late June at that. We still have to order DS's furniture and transition him to his new big boy bedroom downstairs, paint the nursery, and convert the current heating system in the room over to baseboard. As usual I'm looking to get a move on things and it's the last thing on DH's mind.

Re: *****Official July 2013 Mommies*****

I'll be 30wks tomorrow and for the most part I feel pretty good (compared to my last 2 pregnancies around this time).

My only complaint is that my lower back/thighs is in a lot of pain when I stand up from sitting or sleeping. It takes me a couple of minutes to walk right. When I wake up from a nights sleep I have to hold onto furniture because I can't step down on my legs. Yup...it's literally a pain in the butt.

I had my 3hr glucose test about 5wks ago and that wasn't bad but I was left badly bruised for a couple of weeks. Weird but my Dr's office stopped doing the 1hr glucose test because they got too many false negatives so they go right to the 3hr. I guess better safe than sorry.

How's everyone doing?? I can believe it is almost July!

I am hoping for an early delivery, because it is so hot and I'm uncomfortable! I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow and I'm 3 cm and 75% effaced, so hopefully things will keep on moving! They are concerned I will go quickly because I did in the past, but hopefully I will know its labor before it gets too far along so I can have the epidural!

25 weeks 5 days today. Found out today that I am a fingertip dilated. I know these boys should cook as long as they can, but man I am uncomfortable!!!! Both boys are head down so I am going to try for a vaginal birth like I had with DS 1.

#24 on the expecting list and 24 more days to go. Honestly, with this heat, the swelling, back pain, contractions, waddling, profuse sweating, and hemhorroids, etc...I am so ready to go. First internal next Friday....hoping for some signs that the end is near. I had a sono yesterday and he's sunny side up so I need him to turn otherwise I'm in for back labor...very painful from everything I've read. Hope all the rest of you July mamas are ready to release these little firecrackers as pain free as possible!Chat Icon

Re: *****Official July 2013 Mommies*****

Well I am 37 weeks today and officially full term Chat Icon . With that said, I have been exhausted the past two days...like can barely keep my eyes open tired but am not able to nap at all. I shut my eyes but don't drift off completely. My feet, legs, and face are supper swollen.
I'm also having sharp lightning rod type pains in my v-jay off and on along with back and low contractions. I'm in the bathroom non-stop because of all the pressure. My next appointment is this Friday so I'm hoping to here about some dilation or effacement going on.
DS was pretty much right on time due date wise but I didn't have all of the symptoms I'm having with this little guy. Hoping this one may come a little earlier but I know it's not up to me.
How's the rest of the July Mamas????

Re: *****Official July 2013 Mommies*****

Can't believe it's our month!!
I will be 37 weeks on Saturday.
#25 on the list.

Feeling ok, other then the constant needing to pee, sleeping is annoying b/c my hip hurts so bad after a little while, and today, wow, my feet are really swollen!!

This baby refuses to budge - head up and looking like it's not going anywhere - but I am holding out hope he will turn himself. DS#1 was breech, so maybe that's just the way I am, but I'm seeing a chiropractor now for the Webster technique so we'll see if that will help. Fingers crossed.

I swear this pregnancy has gone sooo fast. We are not nearly ready - but I'm still working on having everything ready for when my almost 4 year old was born, so.....Chat Icon ...not anticipating being ready until they are both off to college!!Chat Icon Chat Icon
