38 weeks and I'm so done!!! I had my son 11 days early which will be this Thursday so I'm praying I have her this week! I go on Tuesday for my appt and last week I was 1 cm so im hoping to be 2 cm and they strip my membranes like they did with my son and I had him the next day!! Keep having Braxton hicks which are so uncomfortable at this point! I get reg contractions too but they come and go!

I could have sworn I was in labor last night…..total period-like cramps, combined with a periodic "something"….could have been contractions, could have been the baby moving around kind of "on cue".
I've spent today laying around and trying to do as little as possible. I'm scheduled for induction on Sunday and really want to stick with that plan….just because I have everything for my 4-year old lined up.

I've spent today laying around and trying to do as little as possible. I'm scheduled for induction on Sunday and really want to stick with that plan….just because I have everything for my 4-year old lined up.
It's the not knowing when that's driving me nuts. I am due tomorrow and going for sonogram and next doc on Tuesday if I am still pregnant. From there they will give me an induction date..which I assume will only be around a week late. The nerves of the moment arriving of "okay it's all about to start" is getting to me a little. Anyone else who are FTM's?

The not knowing = KILLING.ME.
It was easier for me the first time around - didn't have a 4-year old to plan for, and I was delivering at my local hospital. Now I have that little 4-year old boy to plan for, and I'm delivering in NYC (live in Suffolk).
I plan to call this morning and let my OB know about my weekend pains - and I expect she'll want me to come in for a quick check. I'm hopeful that it will give me peace of mind to relax till the weekend - but I also realize I may get admitted if she sees something that changes her plan.

ughh me too. I can't wait to meet this little baby! I'm packed...i've packed a bag for my kids..and everytime i call my mom or my mil the first question they ask is...ohh is this it?? lol no im still here due in 5 days. I'm so ready! My dd came at exactly 38 weeks and my son 1 day early...so i'm hoping its in the next few days. Worse case scenario my doc will let me go to 41 weeks and induce me then.
try not to get to frustrated. Although I know that is easier said than done.

We all sound the same!! The not knowing is the worse part!!! I wasn't like this with my first! Maybe bc I was still working, I'm a teacher and he was born in feb, and I had no expectations of going early but he did end up being 11 days early. This time around I've had so many early contractions (put me in the hospital at 31 weeks) so I thought for sure she'd be here early!! But 38 weeks now and I feel like I'm counting down the days till I had my son which I shouldn't do either! Lol dr appt tomorrow so we'll see! I wanna set up my induction date though and maybe I'll feel better having a set end date in site lol

Ditto with the "end in site" date. Either way we are all very close!

Had my 38 week appt and I'm 2 almost 3 cm but still a little thick! He said if I don't have her on my own then I'll go see him on Monday which will be 39 weeks and they'll induce me the next day! Oh I'm so excited to have the end in site.!!! Latest my little girl will be here is one week! Ahh!! But I have been having contractions today and some blood! So I think it'll be sooner rather than later!!

Very exciting! I am 40 wks, 1 day and at today's appointment still said not much going on. Being induced Sunday if I don't go earlier.

oh wow lucky you! i have an appt tomorrow i will be 39 weeks 4 days. I'm so done! I have been getting some on and off cramping but thats it. Hopefully he gives me some good news and i have some progession! ughhh

False alarm last night! My BH contractions that I've been getting very frequently turned into more painful contractions that were 3-5 min apart. I thought it was it so we went to the hospital. The dr checked me and I was still 2-3 cm and 50% effaced so they gave me fluids and checked after an hour or so and no progress so they sent me home :-/
Back to the waiting game I guess lol I hate this!! I didn't have this with my son bc the first time I felt contractions was the day I had him! I'm not going back to the hospital unless my water breaks or I'm in unbearable pain! Lol or next tues when they'll induce me lol

At least you have an induction date which is great that you have an end date in sight!!

Had my final appt with my OBGYN today! I'm confirmed for an induction on Sunday/Monday. Have to be at the hospital on Sunday at 5pm - and the expectation is that we'll have a new baby boy in our arms by lunch/dinner-time on Monday!
