Re: ***OFFICIAL JUNE 2015 THREAD***
Woo hooo!
Do you gals have names picked out?
I'm so excited to have a summer baby this time. With DS it was nice to hibernate all winter long... but this time i'm excited the weather will be nice so we can do some family walks and not worry about freezing when we go out.
I'm scheduled to do my glucose test in the next 2 weeks, which I'm not looking forward to...
What are you ladies up to?

***OFFICIAL JUNE 2015 THREAD***
DH and I have been struggling with the name debate. It's so much pressure to brand a baby forever!! lol Right now we're both hung up on Isabelle but it bothers me how popular the name has become (my husband doesn't mind at all). I might be coming around to just embrace it. Why pick a name we don't love as much just for the sake of originality.
I cannot wait for the weather to warm up so I can feel like this little girl is actually going to show up! My doc hasn't mentioned the glucose test yet. I think they might do it closer to 28 weeks. Can't believe only another appointment or two before the appointments become twice a month instead of once.
We finally finished painting the nursery. The crib is ordered and coming in the next 4-5 weeks. Cannot wait to set everything up!

Re: ***OFFICIAL JUNE 2015 THREAD***
We don't really have any names. DH doesn't like to talk about it. Why? I don't know. Because he's a weirdo is my take on it. We sort of like Jeremy for a boy. As for a girl, we are considering Sloane or Sydney at this point but my DS starts with an "S" and we really don't want to be that family where every kid's name starts with the same letter.
I don't think I go for my glucose test until like 28 weeks or so.
I don't think I'm going to bother with furniture and all of that with the nursery until after the baby is born. That way, I can get what I want for that gender. I am WAY more lax about this whole nursery thing for #2 then I was for #1.

Baby girl's name is Abigail Jodee... Abigail just bc we like it and Jodee bc my mom is Joanne and his mom is Denise. Figured it was a nice way to incorporate the moms names while still including them both. And it flows nicely :)

Such beautiful names!! Any FTMs in our group? My shower is late next month and I'm already stressing about what to wear. Any seasoned veterans have any tips on what to wear? I'm happy my family is planning it early so i wont be too uncomfortable yet but im bummed it might not be warm enough for maxi dresses.

I'm a FTW mom and will continue to work once baby number 2 is 12 weeks.
My shower with my first was in October. I hated every single maternity dress i tried on. I ended up with a max studio dress from TJ Maxx in a medium for $25. I was 32 weeks at my shower.

I love that dress! Maybe i should scope out TJ Maxx for some good buys. I hate the thought of buying an expensive maternity dress for this shower and possibly only wearing it once. Though i have a wedding around 32 weeks that ill need something nice for. I wish Rent-The-Runway had a maternity section. I relied on that site for so many dresses before my wedding

Re: ***OFFICIAL JUNE 2015 THREAD***
I posted a girls name poll last week because DH and I were really struggling (and I was stressing) over a girls name. For a boy, we have either Alexander or Adrian picked. I think we are both leaning toward Alexander, but we will wait and see when the time comes. I like Alex as a nickname. For a girl, we are leaning toward Annalise ("Anna"). My DD is Abigail. Its a beautiful name. We call her Abbie and it definitely fits her well. Good choice to the PP! (TheMrs)
As far as a dress for the shower, I was able to find a nice plain, black faux-wrap dress (maternity) from Old Navy online. It was light cotton, very flowy material (my shower with DS was in October and I was worried about getting too warm during gift opening) and I think it cost me $19. But, this was 7 years ago so I realize my input may be completely useless now! Good luck! i am sure whatever you wear will be perfect!

Things are good here! 24 weeks as of Sunday and had my latest check up yesterday. I picked up my glucose drink for my next appointment early April. I'm so nervous for this test, praying I pass on the first try.
Other than that our crib and dresser are coming on Thursday. I think reality will set in once baby's room is starting to look inhabitable. I'm definitely getting getting excited.
How is everyone feeling?

@bluemmanem do you know what you're having? I'll add you now :)
Speaking of vacations, is anyone taking a little babymoon? DH and I are going to the bahamas the first week of april at 28 weeks. I'm excited but still a tad nervous about the flight and how i'll feel. I'm not sure what to pack since im unsure how much bigger ill be in 4 weeks. I'm curious if any of you second time, third time moms etc.. have any experience with traveling around this point.

***OFFICIAL JUNE 2015 THREAD***
I will be 27 weeks on Friday, took my glucose test on Monday, haven't heard anything back yet regarding the results. I'm kind of in the same boat as you, my husband just won a trip through work to Aruba and I will be 33 weeks at that point. My ob says its perfectly fine if I go but I'm still a little nervous, I wish the trip was a few weeks sooner but the dates can't be changed. I am trying to remember how I felt by that point with my first but it was over 3 years ago and I really just can't remember. We haven't been anywhere alone in almost 4 years so I really want to just go and relax before I have two little ones. I am assuming though I won't want to do much besides lying on the beach anyway. I have no idea what I'm going to bring either because my last pregnancy was in the winter so I really don't have any summery maternity clothes. I keep checking Gap and Old Navy online because that's where I've gotten most of my maternity stuff so far to see if they have anything decent, but its all kind of spring stuff still, not much warm weather stuff.

Just added you MissJones!! I cannot agree more. Time is flying!! I'm almost in denial that my shower is 2 weeks away, vacation 3 weeks away and then I'll be into the 3rd trimester! I feel like the whole second trimester just flew by
