OFFICIAL LIF STROLLER GROUP - 2009
The whole concept is to be a group of moms who want to meet to walk together for free while being with DC.
We could have weekdays and/or weekends groups to accomodate both SAHM, PT moms and FT moms.
Let me know which group you would like to be in and days available. You can sign up for more than one group in case one area does not have enough people.
If you see people in your group/area, just contact them to schedule time you want to meet. Just like any other playgroup.
IF YOU COULD LET ME KNOW OF PLACES TO GO TO FOR WALKS IN YOUR AREA, LET ME KNOW! I will try to incorporate "ideas" by areas to give suggestions.

Nobody is really "in charge". I thought it would be "easier" to have one thread to gather all information/people interested into one thread.
Liza posted that she could organize one in Northport and that she used to teach fitness classes if someone wanted to form a group with her.
I mentioned that I used to be a personal trainer myself (in the good old days!) and that we could incorporate it in our walk if everybody was up to it.
The intent is really for moms to find other moms in their areas to do the "equivalent" of Stroller Stride but for free.
Some people leave way out East and cannot come to Nassau/Western Suffolk. So, they will probably will arrange something together.

I should be moving to LI (Northport area) soemtime in October and would love to be able to join then if I could.
I would be available weekends and 2 days a week (I'll hpoefully be working p/t  )
