I had contractions with DS#1 and OMG they SUCK! I never had BH with DS#1 but last week I was pretty stressed out. DS#1 had a febrile seizure and was in the ER. All is fine now no worries but I think the stress of it all caused BH contractions. THe difference was the BH contractions were more like AF cramps like bad ones. I real contraction for me felt like I was stabbed in the lower va jay jay area..
O noes! Glad ds is alright!
I'll try to keep an eye out on the contractions. By has been getting stronger although today they've lightened up a bit. Can't believe its less than 30 days now!

One thing that I still don't know the feeling of to this day is *real* contractions. I do know what BH feels like and it is tightening up and is very uncomfortable, but not too painful. I have been told that real contractions are much worse.
I had a c-section with DD#1 because she was measuring over 10 lbs on the sonogram (she ended p being 9lbs 10 oz) and they said that I hwas having strong contractions when I was hooked up to the machines at the hospital waiting to go into the OR...but I never felt them so IMO they couldn't have been the real thing!

Hi ladies!!!
Hope everyone is feeling good 
I am going in to Good Samaritan on Tuesday 2/21/12 to be induced! Baby is measuring at 6 pounds 11 oz and looks great. The pre-eclampsia is making me be delivered at just over 37 weeks. So excited and nervous!!!!!

I just saw this now! Thanks DS has been fine (knock on wood) I cannot believe how quick time is flying!!!

i posted an update just before but got baq from a checkup today and fluid level appears to be low. i'm 1cm dilated and 70% effaced though and have been losing my plug all week. hoping things start soon!!

Anyone else have tremendous pressure?
This lil guy is hitting "down there" and i feel pressure on my butt....too!
I go tomorrow to see how big this guy is! He is my 2nd my 1st DS was born 9lb 12oz so I wonder if this one is a monster too!
Seriously I feel like if I go to the potty I may give birth....anyone else this uncomfortable???

I have the same pressure when I pee! And im so regular this week like never before! Lol But he seems comfy this week and doesn't want to come yet. So far 70% effaced, 1cm dilated, lost my plug but no big contractions yet.... So anxious for lo to arrive!

so exciting!!! hope LO starts things for you!!!
just got back from my weekly checkup and i'm almost 2cm dilated, still 70% effaced. a bit of progress but wishing there was more. haha ob has me scared of being induced if fluid level drops, which i really want to avoid at all costs...at least we're safe for another week!
how's everyone else doing?

i'm still the same with a bit more soreness in the pelvis, baby's dropped today and making me run to the bathroom every 10 min.... getting bh on and off but nothing close enough to really time. going for a sono check tomorrow for fluid. hope this week brings some progress!! hang in there, you're almost there too!!

Went today for check up and nothing really going on. The OB said I'm about a finger tip dialated and my cervix is a little soft.
This is my second and I was already 2cm dialated at this point with DS. But you never know. My friend went to doctor in morning and was a finger tip dialated. That night she went into labor and had the baby so fast, she hardly got to the hosptial in time.
The OB was funny today and told me the only two things that actually have been proven to bring on labor are sperm and nipple stimulation. He said he doesn't like to say that if the husbands come in. HAHA I will try that if I'm really desperate.
I have been feeling tons of pressure. Stabbing pains, BH, feeling like baby may just drop out of me. I also get this really great feeling when the baby pushes into my rectal area. It hurts so bad. I don't remember that from my first pregnancy.

Been getting Braxton Hicks but nothing to time....
Maybe something is going on and I will dilate. With DS#1 by 37 weeks I was 3 cm dilated....so we shall see Thurs.

I became a February mommy when I had my baby boy on Friday night, February 24th! All is well and we are home now! Will post a birth story and hospital stay review soon!
