I'm at SAHM but with DS I told my job right around this time. I was a sp. Ed. Teacher with some aggressive students so it was a necessity! I actually told my AP at 6 weeks and my principal at 12w.
yea Im thinking I'm going to tell next week. I'll be 13w on Friday.

I'll be 13 weeks this Friday and I think I'll tell my boss then. I'm a little nervous because I'll likely be going on maternity leave about 2 weeks shy of being at this job a year. I know HR said you are not eligible for FMLA until you are here a year and since I'll be right on the cusp I'm really hoping my boss doesn't try to screw me about taking the extra 6 weeks. Since she said they can technically make you come back after 6 without FMLA. So I just want to get that figured out so it's one less thing to stress about.

Hi mamas  I'm sorry to say that after my first sono, my EDD was pushed to December 1st to technically I'm not on the November mommies list - but I'll def be keeping tabs on everyone!! And who knows, I'm on the cusp so I could be in club November after all... happy & healthy pregnancies to all!

oh man I think 11-12-13 will be the coolest birthday! I'm sure it'll be a little too early for me but a fun due date nonetheless :)

I have the same scenario you had...spec ed teacher w/aggressive kids. Each day I try to be super careful and keep my distance. I wanted to wait until I get the ok from the 12w sono...I'm telling work on Friday (so bw 12-13 weeks).
My previous job I waited until around 20w or so. I worked in a male dominated place and was the first person to ever be preggo their...needless to say I felt it was necessary to wait as long as possible.

I still haven't gotten my results back yet! I am going to call today.
I told my job at around 10 weeks! Well just my coworkers that I'm friends with and my direct manager- but I told them loud enough that people heard and everyone eventually found out through the grapevine. I went facebook official after the NT scan.

Just be careful and protect yourself!! I worked with middle school so some of the kids were bigger than me! It was tough but I got through it with the help of a few great paras!!

yay! I think I should call. I called yesterday but im an idiot and the woman asked me if i was asking for nuchal fold and I said yes and she said everything was in the normal. Then I realized that maybe she was talking about the actual measurements and not my blood work...I just called and they told me my bloodwork hadnt come in yet.

I'm just checking in on the two topics being discussed:
I had my NT scan last week at University Associates. The tech said everything looked good and if anything came back of concern, they would call me. But based on what everyone is writing, I will call them to follow-up on my results early next week, since my next appt isn't until mid-May.
As for tellling work - I just told my supervisor. My work environment is very cold and unfriendly so we both agreed that I won't tell HR until its physically obvious. Right now, I just look like I packed on a few pounds lol.
Hope everyone is feeling well...I am out of the first tri-mester on Monday!! Woo hoo!

I am so confused because some websites say the 2nd tri. starts at 13 weeks and some say 14! What to Expect said 13 so I was going by that. But who knows! I will be 15 weeks on Saturday. I feel like it's going so fast now. The beginning was SO slow- waiting to get an appointment/sono and waiting to tell people and waiting to hit that 12-week mark... now its zipping by and I'm freaking out that there's so much to do! My migraines come and go but I think it might be a combination of the prenatals I was taking and allergies. Mostly I am just constantly hungry! I am worried about over-eating and gaining 60 lbs like Kim Kardashian haha

I know every website says something different about when the second trimester starts!! I figure now that I'm almost 15 weeks I'm def there now! I know what you mean about the hunger. I run out of things to eat and I'm still hungry!! I gained 40lbs with DS and I would really like to gain less this time but I'm too hungry!!!

Hey everyone!! Can I please be added to the list on November 14?
Thought I was a December mommy but got quite the surprise at my first appt last week!! Now it's been a whirlwind to get caught up. Ultrascreen yesterday looked great! Let's hope I passed the glucose test the doc had me take this early too.
Even though I'm 13 weeks now I haven't told anyone in my family yet (waiting to do the big reveal on Mother's Day!) or anyone at work except for my close friend here. Luckily I'm not showing yet even though this is my second.

yeah I'm trying!!! but its hard! my coworkers know now and they are constantly reminding me and have been a great help.
my kids range from 13-17. they know yet...i'm not really showing. i'm worried about when the baby gets bigger.
For me...I consider 2nd tri the start of week 13.

I feel slightly better but still not myself. I can make it through the day without feeling like I'm drunk bc I'm so tired! But I'm still ready to go to bed before 10 every night. With my first pregnancy I started feeling better after 16 weeks.
