Had my 39w appt today.....no change! She's still high up there and only 2-3cm dilated same as last week  I walked around Costco yesterday and nothing!
I think I might change my next appt to earlier next week and then schedule an induction if nothing happens on my edd 9/4!
Boo! Why are they hiding?! Lol
i have no idea...its kind of annoying, but obviously its OK....i dont want to miss my other son's 1st day of K on 9/4!!!
I'm up against the clock too!
My dc starts on 9/2 and I really want to have this baby now so I can be home in time to go. Then my other dc starts the following week and I want to be around for that too! I went to the dr. and I was dilated last week and told the baby dropped. Yesterday I saw a different dr. and they said I was closed and high  It's like there is no end in sight!
I have been swelling a lot too! It's awful.
With my son one doc said 1-2 and then next visit the female doc with small hands said finger tip, she said that since the other doc has bigger hands that could be why there was difference, so frustrating though!
That makes sense! I didn't even ask the dr. because I was so disappointed. I know that things can change quickly so I'm trying to stay relaxed but each day that passes feel like torture lately

My time crunch is that I don't want to go into labor AT school lol.
I just woke up from bad contractions and I feel baby under my boob. She's getting even higher! Wtf?!
Diamond - do you still want your induction 6 days early?
C'mon babies we all want to meet you !

If I am dilated and effaced since its my second kid I feel like induction would be quick and easy, see what my doc thinks, I trust him

I can't believe how time just flew with this pregnancy and we are almost there. I'm having a scheduled c-section next Friday (9/5). Only problem is that I have bronchitis! :(. Went to doc yesterday and he gave me the 5 day z pack. Hope it's all better before next week. Nothing like a breathing problem before having an operation.

1.5 cm dilated, doc felt her head she is so low, if I am still pregnant on 9/8 I go in for an induction, yay!

Just got back from the doctor and he won't let me return to work for a half day on Tuesday. So that's it. My leave starts early. Thank goodness it's a holiday weekend so I'm not really losing any additional days. Now to keep this baby in until Thursday! Send me good thoughts and vibes, please!

Yup. Scheduled c/s. Normally I wouldn't care but my DDs first day of K is 9/3 and its also my DS first day of nursery school! Talk about bad timing... I need to be able to put DD on the bus for her first day. She's having a tough time with all of the changes. DS is too young to truly get it and be upset by it all. Such stress...

Torts-
I feel your stress! I'm in the same situation! I have one starting K on 9/2 and one starting nursery the following week, I'm due 9/9! I want to be there for both of my kids and I'm worried I will miss someone's first day
 I'm hoping for something to happen either today or after the first day of K on Tuesday so I will be back for dc#2!
Fingers crossed for both of us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can we commiserate on how much the false labor stinks? lol I have had groin and leg pains for days and on and off contractions, I know my body is preparing but the "is this it?!?!?" feeling all day long drives me insane....

HA! yes lets!!! I've had the false labor symptoms 2 weeks agi and doc was like any day now...so i hyped everyone up and now 2w later NO CHANGE!!!

went for my 40w appt and guess what....NO CHANGE since 3 weeks ago! still 3 cm dilated and she's still way up there, she hasnt dropped! dr. said we can induce this week if i want but there's no need to plus there is a chance of a c-section. so i have to go back for a 41 w appt next tuesday, but i already scheduled and induction for next friday 09/12. cuz by then i'll be past 41 and it'll be ok.....

ugh!! Its you're third and you are 3cm I think that is very favorable for a successful induction, my doc is inducing me at 39w1d if I dont go before bc he said I am favorable for an induction since I am dilated, effaced and this is my second baby, good luck 
eta: did they strip your membranes? with DS I was 3cm and they stripped me and I was in labor within an hour

waht does stripping do? do they do that in the dr.s office? i guess they want to do things a natural as they can....at least youre going at 39! what does effaced mean? you think i would know what this all means by now...

effaced is cervix i think? its important I know that. Stripping membranes is in office during internal if you are at least 3cm dilated they do it--i would call your doc and ask if you can do it, no way would I want to wait until 41w ughhhh enoughhh lol

What's with these 3rd babies keeping us waiting?!?! I'm still here at 39 weeks 2 days, well passed when I delivered my first 2! At the rate I'm going I will be here at 41 weeks as well! At least I got to take my dc #1 to kindergarten and hopefully I will I be able to take dc#2 to school next week also, but it would be better if I had a baby in an infant carrier!

I saw doc yesterday, 80% effaced still 1.5 dilated, planning on my monday induction!
