Oh Good Lord!!! Do I panic?!?! (Dr called back)
DS hasn't been having the best poops recently. He still pees and poops A LOT and his been a bit irritable. But he's also teething. Yesterday I weighed him and he hadn't gained anything in 2 weeks. Now today I just changed him and he had a mucus poop. In that mucus appeared to possibly be blood. He is EBF. I called the pediatrician and am waiting for a call back. DO I panic?
UPDATE: Dr called back and said to take all dairy out of my diet immediately. If his poops continue they way they are now, then bring him in tomorrow. I can't believe I have to wait through the night, especially when I have to go to work at 10pm.

Easier said than done but do not panic. Wait for the doctor to call you back. If they are concerned they will check him out. Poops are hard to figure out. I am sure he is fine.

Oh no! I wouldn't panic just yet! Wait until you hear back from the doctor! I have a bad habit of panicing prematurely, and then normally whatever I'm panicing about turns out to be nothing!
Keep us updated though!

Don't panic. Since you already called the ped I would just make sure that there is nothing topically that is irritating him and wait for the Dr to respond.
Just an aside: When DS had a bad week of teething he had a small amount of blood in his diaper. It was a combination of constipation and diaper rash & was solved by using a topical creme.

Don't panic, ped will call
I hope everything is ok. Is it possible he was chewing on a red sock or something while teething? This happened with my nephew and he pooped red because of it but it wasn't blood.
I hope everything is ok, please keep us posted.

Re: Oh Good Lord!!! Do I panic?!?! (Dr called back)
my sil son recently had this, she too was EBFing (her son was born in october). She had to modify her diet, and it got better and he no longer had blood. She said the diet was too hard to stick to b/c she also has a 2.5 yr old, so she just recently stopped bfing and put him on formula.
Good Luck!!!
