Call your Pediatrician. If they are on antibiotics they should be ok.

my riend was sopposed to come thursday with her lil guy but his ear is infected, dr said fi its better she can fly but everyone she spoke to said it will come nack and you will have a screaming child for a few days...so hes not coming with her...

It depends on how much the inflammation around the eustacion tube is. How long has DC been on antibiotics and does he/ahe seem less congested?
Truthfully, I wouldn't risk it at all. As an adult I've flown with (and actually ruptured an eardrum) ear infections as well as other upper respiratory issues. NOT fun and I cried like a baby~ I can't imagine what it would do to an actual baby.

I did this myself and it was BAD. It hurt so bad when I got off the plane and my equilibrium was really off. I dont recommend at all.

I currently have a double ear infection-I just flew back from a business trip on Friday and I was miserable, especially on the landing. I am on antibiotics (since Thursday night) and I don't think I would fly with an ear infection again unless I was on the antibiotics for several days, and I couldn't put DD through it knowing what I felt myself.

WELL...now the baby has a double ear infection, and is just starting antibiotics today, so looks like we are postponing our trip. Calling southwest now to see what our options are...My doctor recommended that they be on antibiotics at least three days and he would want to recheck them the day before we left (if it was within 10 days).I am SO bummed, I was looking forward to this trip, but glad I followed my instincts and brought the baby even though he had no fever, aches, etc.
