oil budget
How much do you pay a month? We decided to go on a budget and it's going to be $320 a month

Holy crap! How big is your house? Did you just buy your house...if so they base your electric use on the prior year and prior owners. They also re-calculate your usage and budget every 3 months or so.
My house is 2 stories with 3 bedrooms, LR, DR and a great room in the back with a den and kitchen and my LIPA budget is only $215/mo. I am thinking it may go up shortly though to make up for the summer CAC usage.

Oil is $480 a month!
But, they did our budget based on the oil price in July. Since then I renegotiated and got our rate lowered so I'm assuming we'll get money back at the end of the year.
Also, I wasn't very frugal with the heat last year b/c our son was young. This year it's sweats and blankets for us!!!

We prepaid for 1000 gallons, it is what we estimates we will use, that comes out to about $316 a month.

I don't do an oil budget anymore. I pay when I get a delivery.
