Oil Rubbed Bronze Hardware in Bathroom

I'm thinking of switching over the hardware in my bathroom to oil rubbed bronze. Do you think that EVERYTHING has to be in that finish? By everything I mean lighting fixtures, faucet, door handles, toilet paper stand, etc.

It's a very bold/noticeable look. I feel like it might be overkill but I would like to hear some opinions.

I'm doing chrome for the faucets, bath and shower fixtures, towel and TP holders, etc. but plan to use the rubbed bronze for the lighting. If you're planning to mix I would keep similar items the same, ie: bath and shower could be something different as could the door handles, but I would keep towel, TP and other similar items the same. I was concerned that the darker colors would show wear and tear more readily so I went with chrome for items that get handled alot.

Thanks for the reply. What you're explaining is how I was thinking of approaching it. I didn't want to be too matchy-matchy.

IMO, i think the metal should match.

i have ORB fixtures in the PR. all hardware (faucet, tp holder, towel rack, sconces, vanity hardware, toilet lever, metal on glass shelf, metal on mirror and door handle) are all ORB. actually the inside door handle is ORB and the outside is brushed nickel.

Do you have any pics that you could post or FM me?

I have cast-iron heaters that are oil rubbed bronze and the lighting fixture is as well. Everything else is brushed nickel. It doesn't look bad but I'd like a change.
