Oil Rubbed Bronze v. Brushed Nickel
Im debating on which I want to use in my bathroom for the shower and faucet for the sink.
The tile around the half wall, shower and floor will be beige and the border tile is white, beige, grey, and a dark brown (almost purpleish) glass.
Our vanity is a dark wood but we havent picked out a countertop yet either.
Sooo which would you choose? Im leaning towards the oil rubbed bronze look but not sure how durable it is either. Any insight from those who have the oil rubbed bronze is much appreciated
ETA fixing pictures...

Re: Oil Rubbed Bronze v. Brushed Nickel
we have oil rubbed bronze fixtures, and I can only speak for the pegasus brand, which is what we have. Its just under 5 years old and the finish is wearing off on the faucet handles. It looks like sh!t, again, I can only speak for my faucets, which are by pegasus.
ETA: thats our vanity, except we have a double door cabinet!

Our color scheme is similar and we went with the polished silver finish for the durability on the fixtures, but used the rubbed bronze for the lighting and handles on the vanity and I'm happy with the mixed look. The pics are a bit dark but you can get an idea here.

Satin nickel - I feel like it will be more timeless.
We have oil-rubbed bronze in our master too - I think for our hallway bath we're gonna go with chrome.

Yes we have a similiar color scheme, and even the same hand towels lol. I have the ones that are beige though
ETA I never thought of mixing the two finishes. That sounds like a great idea thanks

Re: Oil Rubbed Bronze v. Brushed Nickel
I went with warmer colored tile and paint in our bathroom, so I picked the oil rubbed bronze. I feel that the nickel is great with "cooler" colors and if we redo our powder room, I'll use nickel in there.
We got all our stuff from Pottery Barn (except the faucet which is a different finish- don't know why I did that) and it has held up very well. We redid the room in Dec. 2006.
ETA- didn't read carefully- we have the light fixture, TP holder, wall vases, and hooks in the bronze. Shower head is different.
