Ok - new shoe question - what color with an eggplant dress?
So, I went out last night to find shoes for my black dress and stumbled upon a really cute eggplant color dress at Express. It was so cute I couldnt pass it up... But now I'm stumped...what color shoes go with an eggplant dress??
I did find the SAME color eggplant shoes at DSW, but I'm afriad that matching shoes will be too matchy-matchy and end up looking like a bridesmaid.
Can I do black shoes?
Silver seems a bit prom-ish to me
And what style goes best with this dress?

i would probably go with gold shoe or maybe a funky patterned show with purple in it.

I wore plum in a wedding and the bride wanted us in gold shoes.
I would have preferred silver though.

I tried on both gold and black last night and I cant decide...they both looked really nice just 2 totally different looks.
I think I'm going to try both on for BF and let him decide

Love that dress! I have it in black, I wish I knew they had eggplant I didn't see it when I got it!! I would def. do gold or a black shoe depending where you're going

What about just a nice nude pump? I love wearing nude pumps - helps elongate the legs.

I would do gold, I like the way purples,plums, eggplants look with gold. But silver would also work.

i just bought that color in a victorias secret dress and wanted gold shoes. silver would be nice too.
i couldnt find gold but i found a cute champagne pair of pumps at payless and they look cute with the dress.

ITA or bronze..could do silver but silver shoes can be tricky to find a nice pair IMO

My girls wore that color for my wedding, they all found shoes in a matching color. I think champagne would have looked nice too

Thanks everyone. I ended up wearing black pumps with a black clutch and black and silver bangle bracelets. I wore a chunky silver and clear necklace. It looked great together.
The only reason I didnt end up going with gold (the gold looked fabulous as well) was because my boyfriend didnt have a tie that would match. He wore a silver and eggplant tie, so the black pumps with silver jewelery tied in better with his suit
I'll try to post pics later!

They do have it in black and also a charcoal gray color  Regular price was $70 i think, but I think I saw it on sale this week for $59.

I wore the same color dress and wore grey shoes. I actually got my shoes from Target. Got many compliments.
