ok, I feel dumb, but what exactly is a "whole chicken breast, halved"?
I know it might sound stupid, but I'm sure exactly what that means. I bought boneless chicken breasts, but how do I cut them in half? Down the middle so they are in two big chunks? Or sliced the long way so they are two thin cutlets? I guess it should be obvious since the recipe doesn't specify, but I have no idea! Help!

That probably already is halved. A whole chicken breast is both sides. You usually see that with the bone still in it. This link should help Warning, there are pictures of other parts of the chicken, so just look at the first line.
I didn't want to just post pictures of raw chicken b/c that grosses some people out.
