OK I know I've heard terrible 2's coming early but come'on...
Charlie is 15mos ... we were in church today and he was being very antsy so I took him to the lobby. Well, he accidentally beat me to the holy water and put his hands in it. I pulled him away from it (multiple times b/c he kept running over to it since he wouldn't let me hold him) and he proceeded to throw a fit and throw himself on the floor every time he got close to the water and every time I blocked him from it. At one point his head hit the door. I was so embarrassed. He knows "you can't play with that" so that is all I kept saying and he yelled and screamed ... we had to leave. Does this sound familiar? What would you have done?? DOES IT GET MUCH WORSE?!

My son is almost 14 months and we just noticed this weekend that he has started throwing full blown temper tantrums especially if I say he can't play with something. So no advice, just hugs because I sympathize! I'd love to hear BTDT moms deal with this!

DD is almost 14 months and she is starting to throw little tantrums. It is very embarrassing, but I assume, I'll just get used to it!

My DS did that all the time at that age. He just turned 2, and it has actually gotten better.

DD is 19 months and is starting to do that - it can be really annoying! Hang in there!

I feel your pain!
Jack is 17 months and has been having tantrums for about a month now.
He's got the drop to the floor down pat now. Wherever we are - he can be down on the floor kicking and screaming in a second flat.
It is soooooooo annoying - especially when I try to pick him up and he positions his body so that I just can't lift him!!!

DS is 15 mos and does this as well - he has been doing this for a long time now BUT, that said, thank goodness they are relatively rare and usually not that extreme. Honestly, the only thing i find that works is ignoring it.
