ok I need therapy with this choking/drowning thing

Ive said that my two worse fears on this planet are children choking, and now drowning has been added to that list recently with all the stories in the news.

I had a vivid dream last nite, 2 diffierent segments.

ONe a tiny baby girl was under water and I just stared at her like Chat Icon Chat Icon and just froze and panicked and then immediately picked her up out of the water and layed her down.
still in a frantic state I wasnt sure if I should do CPR, and her mom goes "yes do it, do it" (I dont know who this baby was or who the mom was). so I did CPR and soon the baby was moving a bit, and that dream faded.

then ffwd to my dream with my son.
Im ALWAYS checking to see if he has something in his mouth.
He almost never has anything near him that he can possibly God forbid choke on. and I guess being that I have grapes in the fridge, Im extra cautious that the boys dont grab grapes, they're very "Eat and run" sometimes and thats NOT allowed with grapes.

so in this quick blurb of a dream, I went to see what was in his mouth, and I found a grape, (the baby's mouth
Chat Icon) again this is just a dream (Im getting nervous just typing it)
and also the twig of the grape vine was in his mouth, so I pulled it, and there must have been 4-5 FEET of grapes in his mouth...

Dear Lord WHERE do I get help for this.

You might want to try a hypnotherapist.

You can possibly find one by googling the National Guild of Hypnotists.

It certainly sounds like you're taking the proper steps to be cautious and vigilant!

Let's go to therapy together. Drowning is a fear too but the choking fear is what scares me the most right now! I cannot get past this one! Yeah I give my son some table food but he's still on jars and at this point I don't know how long he's staying on them. He does have pasta every night though. But I just can't get started on giving him chunkier foods to chew on. I do let him have some table foods here and there but I watch him like a hawk! and get paranoid over the pieces he has. He has this thing of keeping things in his mouth and not swallowing right away...it drives me bananas!!!!!!!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon And sometimes it looks like he's swallowed it but then I'll find it hidden in his mouth! Then when he coughs and gags on the food, I panick immediately!

Ugggh when will it end! I tried to pick him up some of those gerber graduate lil entrees meal to get him started but I couldn't do it. I look at the label and say "nope looks too chunky for him". Yeah I know I can mash it but the point is to get them used to a little chunkier foods which is what I can't do right now. Plus I honestly don't think he's a good chewer...so maybe I'll just stick to giving him pieces of food here and there...
