but did any other Twilight readers find it to be "eh?" I read it rather quickly, I think because I was just waiting for something to happen...but in the end I was super-disappointed.

I still plan to read the next book, but my hopes are dashed! Chat Icon

For those that love the series, does it get better or is Twilight the best of the bunch?

I TOTALLY felt the same way! I thought it was good, but not great. At times, it seemed a little repetitive.

I will probably read the others, but I wonder if it was too hyped up and I went in with higher expectations that I should have.

Amen sista!!!

It was one of the worst books I ever read. I didn't get the attraction.

And I won't read the others in the series.

It was a very easy book to read. When I got frustrated with it I just had to remind myself that it's a young adult book. Honestly, there were a couple times I wanted to put the book down and call the writer to tell her that the characters are too freaking melodramatic. The wounded sparrow act gets old really fast.
I'll still may slog through the rest, like I said it's a beach read.
