ok ladies, talk to me about 2nd opinions
Alright. So, I am thinking of possibly going for a second opinion. I am almost through my IVF money with my insurance, and I think I have about 2 cycles left.
I currently go to RS of NY and have a consult with Dr. San Roman to go through everything. On paper, cycles look perfect. I have no clue why it isn't working, maybe implantation issues? I have to do PGD/IVF for a chromosomal issue.
I am thinking of possible NYU, Long Island IVF or possibly Cornell. Any thoughts, I want it all, the good and the bad. Please. I'm getting desperate to have a second healthy baby of my own.

if you have out of network benefits go see dr. Braverman. if you havent had a full thrombo and immune workup you should def get it cause those are issues than can cause failed implantation and BFN IVF cycles. good luck!

ok ladies, talk to me about 2nd opinions
I would highly recommend seeking a 2nd opinion...its nothing personal about rsny but if they are not looking outside the box its time to seek someone who will...I think Dr. T @ SIRM does immune testing...I have looked and there arent many dr's who "believe" in it so maybe consider consults with Dr. T & Dr. B...cornell & nyu also have great sart ratings as well

Did you try different protocols for each cycle? After 2 failed cycles, you may need something else and I think it's definitely worth speaking to another (or a few other) REs.
Good luck!

I went to Columbia in the city. I loved it there and so did my sister.
2nd opinions are always worth it in my opinion!

For PGD, I have heard that NYU and the Sher institute are the best. I would think that it has something to do with implanting since you tested the embryos and know they are good. Have you had an endometrial biopsy? Ever had any immune testing?

No, I have never had either of these done. But I am going to inquire when I go in on tuesday about our options and what to do with why it isn't working.
I know that NYU, Columbia are top notch, its just difficult for me to get into the city dealing with my DD and get to work. I would be missing a lot of work to go into the city. I haven't looked into Sher yet, but again, if they have retrieval in the city, I don't know what I would do with my DD.

Re: ok ladies, talk to me about 2nd opinions
I sent you FM.
But just to add to the PP comment, when I was doing my research for consults last year, I was very impressed with Cornell's lab, embryologist, and studies with PGD. I don't recall now but they are a little more advanced with their PGD, certain chromosomes are tested more, something to that degree. Also Dr. Tortoriello at SIRM had different PGD testing.
I think if you know exactly what your issues are, you'll be able to choose a dr that fits you best.

ok ladies, talk to me about 2nd opinions
I did 3 cycles with NYU and while I was very happy there, they do not test for, treat or believe in immune and clotting disorders. Evidently, I have issues in both of these areas. I kind of feel that I wasted 3 cycles, but hey we can't change the past. From my research, Dr. Braverman and Dr. Tortoriello are the only local doctors that specialize in immune and clotting issues.

Good Luck!!! I've been going to the same RE for 4+ years so I can't give you any advice on other doctors but the girls on here definitely know their stuff :)
I hope and pray this next cycle works for you regardless of the Dr. you see....
