Ok so DH went to drop off his sample at
the RE to andrology so we could freeze it for the retrieval, since his counts are terrible - in case we need it. My dr. is also having the RE urologist that my DH sees on "standby" the day of the retrieval in case they need to take the sperm directly out of DH eek.
When DH went today to drop it off, they said he had NO sperm. Our main issue is male factor (obv.) plus my PCOS. My DH is worried now that he not producing any sperm at all...but recently he had counts of 11 million down to 200,000. So, I think it's a matter of, for whatever reason, like the RE said, men have good days and bad days. I think that today for some reason, the sperm did not come out in the sample. Which is why we are doing IVF anyway...
I guess I am thinking, since he had the counts already, he wouldn't just completely stop producing sperm altogether, right? Is that a dumb question?

Oh Jen, I'm so sorry!!! I hope today was just a fluke day! Is he going to try to give another sample prior to your retrieval?

Ugh, last thing you need right now! Just remember, since you are doing ICSI, all you need is just a few that they can use to fertilize your eggs! I do hope he doesn't have to have the sperm extracted the day of your ER, I saw how they did that on a documentary not long ago and was

Re: Ok so DH went to drop off his sample at
So DH spoke to his urologist. The doctor said it was probably a fluke. He has an appt. on Wed. Worst case scenario like MrsRbK said, we have to do a biopsy the day of retrieval...
