OK, Talk me off the ledge...
I am having a serious panic attack about tomorrow
This all happened so fast, I know that I have to do it, we really need the money and DS is going to be with DH, so it really is a good thing.
But why do I have to be such a control freak? And why does it scare me more that DS will be with DH. DH has more friggen experience with babies then I do.
On top of it all, tomorrow is my sister's 25th birthday, so after the "hand off", DS and I are driving to the Upper East Side for dinner with my parents, sister and her two friends
I packed the diaper bag, AND made a list and attached it to the bag of what belongs in it....I have my sister's presents, our clothes are picked out. I have laundry in...
Now I can just be sad by myself since DH is at work

Re: OK, Talk me off the ledge...
From one control freak to another, just let it go, honey, let it go! DH will do an awesome job as Daddy, even without you to tell him what to do! I can safely say that because my DH takes care of Ava everyday, and while he might not do things the way I do, he does an awesome job. Just take a deep breath and enjoy a relaxing, peaceful night before the wackiness of tomorrow. You have everything planned out, and you've done what you can for now

Re: OK, Talk me off the ledge...
My DH takes care of DD during the day too. The way I get around my "control" issues is preparing everything the night before. I make lunch for all of us (me, DH and plan DD's), make dinner a night ahead and lay out DD and my clothing. I leave DH with DD's menu so at least I know she's fed well.
Your DH will be great with it!!! It'll be nice bonding time for DS and DH.

Re: OK, Talk me off the ledge...
sometimes I find that the best way to cope with these situations is to just let them happen and not think about it for too long. Try and go to sleep ASAP. I'd suggest some nyquil or tylenol pm but I'd imagine your home alone with DS so that wouldn't be good. It'll all be fine. Just let it happen. You'll get through it. Best of luck

Re: OK, Talk me off the ledge...
I know it's hard but it's much better to have DH take care of DS than a stranger at daycare. I would feel better just thinking about this.

You will be ok! The anticipation of it was worse than actually going back to work for me. Once you see Christopher is happy and fine tomorrow, you will be fine too.
Enjoy your sister's birthday!

Aw, you're going to do great and so is he--both of them! I've been there and remember the anxiety, but it will totally fade with a little time!

Re: OK, Talk me off the ledge...
Sending lots of for a smooth morning. Hang in there...everything will work out and you'll have a great routine in no time.
Sending lots of cause I am sure you miss your little man like crazy.
OH - and definitely let your DH take an active roll. For as much as we want to be super moms and do it all - we need all the help we can get. Having him be an active partner in this will pay off big time as it will be a huge help along the way. You're a great team!!
