OK This could be it!!! Just got back from the DR.....
and I'm 3cm dialated and 70% effaced!!!
Baby is measuring at about 7lbs. He said I am ready, my body is ready, etc. and I can either wait another week even though he doesn't think I'll make it and we'll end up going sometime in the middle of the day or night, or we can go to the hospital tonight and he can induce. He'd do the cervadil tonight and he said he is certain the pitocin will put me into strong labor immediately tomorrow morn.
He stripped my membranes (ouchie but definitely bearable) and basically there went my MP and I'm now spotting. He said he could probably put me into labor right now if I wanted, if he stripped me a bit more! I said I was ready and if he thinks the baby is ready (being that i"m only 38 weeks) I'd like to go to the hospital tonight....SO, he went back in and stripped me some more, ouchie again but bearable! I have slight cramps now but not contractions.
I am to call L&D at 5pm to make sure they have a bed ready and then we're off to Good Sam, as long as there is a bed,...if not, then we go 1st thing tomorrow morn!! Dr. said he is certain baby will be here tomorrow!!!

OMG Dana, I am so excited for you. This is great. You called it. Even though you didnt want to get your hopes up too much just in case, you knew deep down this was your week to become a mommy.

YIPPPPEEEE....
I was almost 5 cm when they induced me w/ CJ and 75% effaced. They broke my water at 12:50..started pitocin at 1:30..and I was pushing at 4:30...he was here at 5:02!!!!
Let's hope for as speedy a delivery for you!!!!!! Maybe it'll be a "CJ" thing!!!!
