Ok which Leapster type product do you have?

There are so many different ones out there... Leapster, Leapster 2, the FP one called iXL, MobiGo, etc.

Which one do you have? Pros/cons?

DS will be 3 in September and he knows the alphabet/colors so I was interested in one that the age starts at 4 years old.

Thanks!

We have the leapster. The kids love it. They are 3 and both got it last august. They have a ton of games. We keep them in the car so they have something fun and educational to do at the same time.

The only con is I feel that I am always changing the battery.

We have the Leapster 2. DD doesn't use it as much as I thought she would. She does better using the ITouch. Chat Icon Chat Icon

My kids are 4 and 6 and still use their Leapsters! One has an LMax (connects to a TV screen which we have never done) and a regular old Leapster. Their games are interchangeable, so we have a ton between my two kids.

I bought each of them an AC adaptor to use at home! I love it! Saves the batteries and we never have any issues.

Thanks. Does anyone have any of the other ones? MIL wants to buy one of these and she was looking at the MobiGo one... but maybe I will tell her the Leapster instead.

We have the Leapster....DS likes it a lot and there are a ton of games...

IMO, Leapster has been out longer than the Mobi one and they are still making new games for it so if I were to buy one now, thats what I would get ( I like when products have longevity)

We also bought the adapter for the Leapster so we don't go through batteries as often..The hard case is a nice accessory as well Chat Icon
