Ok, yes, another formula question...
SO, we've been slowly switching Ava over to Nutramigen. I THINK she is ok. No vomitting, no gas or anything like that. No wheezing, etc. However, she went from pooping 2 times a day to like 4 times a day. It's not loose or anything (TMI, sorry), but just normal poops that are occurring more frequently. Is that normal when you switch formulas? Do you think it has to do with the fact that I tried her on RTF when she's used to powder?

When we switched from dairy to soy formula...we went from 1 poop every 2-3 days...to 2-3 poops every day

Re: Ok, yes, another formula question...
Hi Rach!! I know that when DD uses powder her tummy reacts differently, like having a looser bowel movement or more frequent. Since seeing that reaction I stick to strickly RTF. Maybe thats it or her tummy is just trying to make the adjustment to the new formula.

Re: Ok, yes, another formula question...
I think that will be normal. I tried Nurtimigen with DS and his firt bowl movement on it was very loose and I stopped giving it to him thinking it was a reaction. When I switched doctors I told the new doctor and she was that was normal on that formula as long as it is not diaherra. So maybe she is going more frequently instead of getting a loose stool.

Re: Ok, yes, another formula question...
Could be just switching formulas. My little guy switched from Similac to Good Start and I think he started getting more poops (and they were different consistency), I think it's fine but of course check w/ your daughter's pedi as well. I actaully just asked my son's pedi if going from formula to RTF (same formula) would give diarreah and he said it shouldn't since it should be the same ingredients, but it could.
Sorry not really helpful information!
My own feeling is that it's probably ok but I'm not a doctor so if you're concerned I would call the pedi and ask.
But it's good she's not gassy or vomitting!
