Okay, funky dressers...I have some questions!
I see a lot of other people dressing funky and I love the look but don't know how to pull it off myself. Any advice?
What stores are good for staple pieces, accessories? Do you buy a funky outfit together, or do you buy random pieces at different times and just put them together yourself? Also, do you wear the SAME outfit all the time, or constantly mix it up between tops, pants/skirts, and accessories. I really would LOVE to become more funky and fashionable.

sometimes I will see a look on a mannequin that I really like...I will either buy that exact outfit or something similar...that is where I get a lot of my ideas.

don't know that i'm "funky" per se,...
but i tend to buy pieces that i love, and just mix them up. i don't worry about being so "matchy-matchy"

urban outfitters is good... but it tends to be very expensive. i like h&m for trendier/funkier pieces because they are generally on the cheap side. that way, if i find i REALLY don't like the look after all, i didn't waste a lot of money.

Urban Outiftters and H&M.
Since H&M is so cheap, you can really afford to mix up your wardrobe and try out some funky stuff!

I just found out there's an Urban Outfitters right next to my hotel in Tucson (I'm going in 2 weeks). I'll go shopping if I get bored while DH is at his conference!

I think that accessories can make an outfit funky. If you have blue jeans and a white t, a cool belt, earrings, bracelets and funky shoes could do the trick. Also don't forget your bag!

I find that pairing up sophisticated items with unique accessories really works and has a lot of attitude

I like quirky accessories - handbags especially. You can find unique/funky items at Free People, Urban Outfitters and even Anthropologie.
ETA: Betsey Johnson always has quirky items too!
